Extraneous Variables This happens to be part of the unwanted influences, and the design that I plan to use in research question should eliminate this unwanted influence. The extraneous variables are the variables that are likely to interfere with independent variable actions. These extraneous variables are not part of the research study and therefore must be controlled. I propose that the following methods will be used in controlling the extraneous variable randomization, matching, statistical control, homogenous sampling technique and building the variable into a design (Spatz, 2016). An example of extraneous variable includes physical, psychological and economicvariables. Instruments: Description, validity, and reliability estimates, which have been performed (on a pre-established measure). Include plans for testing validity and reliability of generating your own instrument(s) (Spatz, 2016).The instrument is the measurement device that will be used in the research this research proposal proposes the use of questionnaires. The questionnaire is subject completed and will be easy to use for the participant. On validity and reliability, we can start by saying that validity is the extent to which the questionnaire which is our instrument of measure performs as it is designed to perform. Since the questionnaire as the instrument of measure cannot be 100 valid, validity will measure the degree. The validation process will involve the collection and analysis of data in order to assess the instrument accuracy. In carrying out validity testing, the following key terms will be used that is the external validity which involves generalizing the study from sample to population. By having our measurement instrument externally valid then we will obtain population generalizability in other words the degree to which the sample is able
