Facts Suzi grew up in Pretoria. She has been quite ill since she was quite young. However, she was exposed to computers and computer games from a young age and she has always been determined to make a success of life. Although she had a poor upbringing, she worked and studied hard. She always wanted to make a difference in the world. During an interview in 2015, she mentioned that she felt that woman can play a more significant role in changing the world. Suzi is the youngest of four children and she has a Zulu father and a Xhosa mother. Whilst studying a combined computer science and business degree, she did part-time work for Computers for Africa (CfA) and she earned R112 000 per annum. She worked in a part time position for three years and she rendered services on Monday to Friday evening and on Saturdays and Sundays. She did not receive any paid leave. During her time as a part-time employee, CfA's HR Manager, Mr White, became aware of the fact that Suzi is a diabetic. She did from time to time confide in him that she sometimes felt tired during the University's test weeks and during the exam period. Although this was of concern to Mr White, this did not worry Suzi as she knew that she would not always have to work day and night while making progress in life. The General Manger of CfA got to know Suzi as a hard working and ambitious person and Mr Zondo informed her about a job advertisement for an indefinite position at CfA. CfA has a workforce of 100 employees. Whilst preparing the 2020 Annual Employment Equity Report for the Department of Labour during December 2020, Mr White realised that their staff component is comprised as follows: 30% female employees and 70% male
