The shares were classified as fair value through profit or loss (FVPL). On February 2, 2020, Farzad sold all of the 2,000 shares of Benny Ltd. it owned for $45 per share. These shares were purchased in 2018 at a total price of $72,000. The carrying value of these shares as at December 31, 2019, was $83,000.
