In the year 2014, he expanded the business in other locations in Dhofar Governate. The business was quite successful running in profits in all these years. With the development of the business, many payments are made and received through cheques. To record daily cash and cheque transactions of the business he uses a three-column cash book. You as an accountant in his business required to prepare three-column cash book for February 2020. February month transactions are given below: Balance of cash OMR 45,000 and a bank overdraft in Bank (HBL) OMR 12,000. Received a cheque of OMR 2,900 from Mr. Hatem in full settlement of his account OMR 2,990. Paid into the bank OMR 5,000 Feb. 4: Cash sales of OMR 63,400 Feb 5: Withdraw from the bank for office use OMR 5,000 Sold goods on account to Mr. Sameer OMR 10,000 subject to 10% trade discount Feb 7: Received a cheque from Mr. Abdullah OMR 7,000 subject to 5% cash discount Paid into bank Mr. Abdullah's cheque.
