Federal Employee Satisfaction. The United States Office of Personnel Management (OPM) manages the civil service of the federal government. Results from its annual Federal Employee Viewpoint Survey (FEVS) are used to measure employee satisfaction on several work aspects, including Job Satisfaction, Pay Satisfaction, Organization Satisfaction, and an overall measure of satisfaction referred to as Global Satisfaction. In each case a 100 -point scale with higher values indicating greater satisfaction is used (OPM website).
