Estimates of the aircraft's initial altitude, range from 150 to 200 feet [ft] [3, p. 277-278], [1, p. 3]. [7, Appendix 3, Case #12, p. 3-20], presumably measured near the aircraft's geometric centroid or near its center of mass. However, its banking angle was slowly rolling through 90deg [2, p. AA-22.14]. The wingspan of a B-52 is 185 feet [5], or 56.388[m]: a wing is 92.5 feet long. For this problem, effects other than constant gravity may be neglected. (Air resistance could be a part in another problem.) Task: Estimate the time elapsed between the time to when the aircraft was at its initial altitude, and the time t+ when the aircraft hit the ground: t+ to =?
