The other side of block 2 is connected to string B which runs over a massless and frictionless pulley to connect with block 3. Assume the only forces on the blocks are gravity (with g = 9.81 mfs2), normal forces from the planes, friction forces from the planes, and tension forces from the strings. Do not ignore friction. The velocity of block 1 points up {and the strings do not stretch]. The velocities of blocks 2 and 3 both point roughly to the right. Calculate the acceleration of block 1 in units of meters per second squared. The sign of your answer is important. A positive acceleration for block 1 still points down
