However, to support the precast concrete roof slab, the beam section was inverted as shown in Fig. 5(b) and then the roof slab was suspended from the bottom flange of the section. If the floor load and the roof load are the same, do you expect both beams to deflect by the same amount? Please provide an explanation for your answer.
