Final Project- Calculus AB

Project 1- Calculus Recipe Project

Find a recipe with at least 10 numerical values in the recipe (ingredients amount, cooking temperature. baking time, serving size, etc.). You must include all numerical values in the recipe using calculus problems that represent the correct amounts in the recipe.

For example:

?? Recer

New Recies

2eppr

yields 8 dozen

Your recipe MUST include each of the following types of problems at least once:

  1. Limit evaluation
  2. Definite Integral
  3. Position/Velocity/Acceleration of a particle
  4. Average Value
  5. Numerical Derivative
  6. Volume of a solid (by cross-sections OR revolution-can exclude pi, unless you can make it work) |V
  7. Slope of a tangent line

Other options to include:

  • Particular solution to a differential equation
  • Relative min/max value
  • Inflection point
  • Related Rates
  • Optimization

Additional Criteria:

  • You must include a copy of the original recipe, separate from your typed calculus version of the recipe.
  • have a worked out sheet that shows FULL WORKED OUT SOLUTIONS for every value. Your worked does not need to by types, but must be legible and neat.
  • Submission via Dropbox in eClass
  • Problems must be unique, not ones done in class.

Problems must be unique, not ones done in class. This project is worth 50 points. The points will be divided among that individual problems you create and graded for accuracy. If you have a recipe that has the minimum 10 problems, each will be worth 5 points
