Current Events Briefing

You shall select a case/scenario/legal issue from current events that deals with the topic for the week in which you are assigned (it really can be anything that involves the law and business(es), and ties to the topic to be discussed in class). Students are expected to identify class concepts in a real life legal case/scenario. It is expected that you will be able to add meaning to the readings and bring the concepts to life by using real life cases and scenarios. Do not select a case from the book.

Once you have selected your case, you will be required to debrief the class about your selection, and present one (1) question surrounding it, which is what you will leverage to lead the discussion. You should devise a quality question that evokes critical thinking or analysis. A question that only requires a recitation of something from the article you choose will get you little points. It will be your responsibility to facilitate your discussion.

You will submit a 1-page write-up detailing your current event, and at least one reference to where you obtained your information on the event from. The citation shall be in APA format. The write- up only needs to be a paragraph or two summarizing the facts of the event.
