Find an article about a lawsuit. The article can come from any reputable online or news source. The article needs to have enough information that you are able to determine:

Do the facts encompass substantive law or procedural law?
Do the facts involve civil law or criminal law?
Is the legal issue a state issue or a federal issue?

Then type up and turn in an essay which includes the following:

A summary of the facts; and
Answers to the 3 questions stated above
After the essay, include a list of questions that came to mind as you read the article.
Also remember to cite your article!  Attaching a link to your article is also helpful so that I can access the source easily to review.
