Paragraph:

Children who have been in foster care for a long period of time have experienced high rates of behavioral and emotional problems compared to children who come from a two-parent home. Researchers have found that younger children are adopted more than older children. Children with emotional and behavioral problems are less likely to be reunited with their families. Children who also come from child abuse, child trauma, or even childhood maltreatment have a harder time when getting adopted. These children are more likely to run away from foster homes, be incarcerated, or even homeless. The foster care system is overpopulated so when a child runs away from their foster family or even the group home they don't feel the need to search as hard for the children who have run away.
