Find the minmum fluidised velocity, fluidised velocity, terminal velocity of a particle size 0.004m (spherical) in a fluidised bed. Then find the pressure drop associated with each term above. The height of the bed is 9.8m, fluid viscosity is 0.0000432kg/ms, fluid density is 0.477kg/m3. Voidage is 0.269. Density of particle is believed to be 2711kg/m3. Volume of fluidised bed is 29.567m3 with a H/D ratio of 10 (possible for bed to be split into several reactors). I don't have a packing factor so that can be assumed (please reference)
Please include equations, references to equations and methodology in the answer
This is for a calciner fluidised bed with components of CaCO3 as the solid and CO2 as the fluid at 850C and 1 atm. If you have any possible improvements or recommendations please also share.
Thank you
