Finding the specific heat of an unknown metallic cube using calorimetry: I am performing a lab where I know the mass of the water, the mass of the metal (both in kg), and initial and final temperature (in C). I am seeing a couple of equations out there to calculate specific heat, but the numbers I keep coming up with don't make sense when compared to known specific heats for the metals I might have. I just need a suggestion of an equation that will get me close.
