First, calculate and interpret descriptive statistics for each one of your variables. The statistics you use will depend on the type of variables that you are working with (quantitative or categorical). At a minimum, your descriptive statistics should include:

Next, calculate and interpret measures of association between your independent and dependent variables. The measures you use will depend on the type of variables that you are working with (quantitative or categorical).

• Regression equation
• Correlation, r
• r²

Calculate measures of association in your Excel file. Then, explain the interpretation of the association between the variables: Does there appear to be an association? What is the association? Why did you come to this conclusion?

Make sure that your Excel spreadsheet contains a neatly organized (e.g., using tables), easy-to-understand, and appropriately labeled presentation of your descriptive statistics, measures of association, and visual displays.
