First, choose a brand you like/purchase from that is in an industry we know may have ties to slavery (clothing, electronics, food, etc.).

1. Go to their official website and initially assess their labor practices. Can you find any official statements about labor? Can you find out anything about their supply chain? Where their factories are located? Summarize what you find. 2. Broaden your search by looking outside their official website (goodonyou.eco is great for most clothing brands). Are there any articles, news stories, or lawsuits around slave labor from the last 10 years associated with this brand? Summarize what you find from outside sources about their labor practices. Include links to any articles.

Second, choose an organization that is addressing modern slavery. There is a fairly comprehensive list here (endslaverynow.org)

1. Go to their official website and initially assess their goals and work. Summarize the focus of their work. 2. From an economic perspective, how is this organization attempting to change the modern slave market? Are they impacting supply, demand, price? If so, how are they impacting it (ie; Challenging Heights tries to decrease demand through education of fishermen)? 3. Now, assess the effectiveness and legitimacy of this organization. On their official website can you find information about their results? Can you find their financial documents? Can you find information about them from other resources?
