The comments must focus on the topic ONLY and the information provided by another student. It must include a new idea, a critique, a suggestion for improvement, or information about an error or inaccuracy. It is not an opportunity to congratulate or agree with someone about the answer, format, or style. Warning: Any post without content (even if by accident) will result in a zero grade on the discussion. Two or more students using the same or almost the same words to answer questions, provide examples, discuss scenarios (except when the use of an excerpt from the textbook is documented or when the exact source of the information - name and location - is provided) will also result in a zero. Information submitted on a subsequent post will not count; students can only post once and then reply to another student.

Questions: You have been hired as an accountant. The first request you receive is to advise Management and the Board of Directors on whether going forward the company should focus on strengthening the Income Statement or the Balance Sheet and why (30 points) Discuss in your answer at least three of the items included on one OR both financial statements and explain why you will focus in those areas IF there were problems there (50 points).

NOTE: The company is not showing signs of any problems on either financial statement and you don't need to know what the numbers are on the statements to answer this question correctly. HINT: What you need to know to answer this question correctly is the relationship between financial statements, which items appear on each one and the meaning of each item.
