- First, we have the neoclassical paradigm. This perspective is majorly based on the idea that the students after schooling try to make the best decisions on how they should spend the money. They have to think if they will pay off the debts first or to start building themselves. Majority of the student's decisions is to first cater for their needs instead of paying the debt. This causes the debt payment to be delayed and sometimes it is not paid. Most of the student's decisions on how to spend their money are reached through emotions rather than through rationally. If the decisions were reached through rationally it could have helped in paying off the debts.
- Secondly, there is the liberal paradigm. This perspective tends to criticize most of the state policies. The students have followed this path and they have failed to pay up for the debts. Most of the decisions made in this perspective are made up by households and individuals. This will affect how the debt is paid. This is because the state normally assumes that the money will be paid in the same way which they used in disbursing it.
- Finally, the radical paradigm. This perspective deals with the idea of some students taking stands as political economists. They will be against the idea of paying up the debt. The students make their decisions from an economic view. This will be in their best interest. They prefer not to pay the debts but to live a better life.
