Section A Essay Question 1 Cleaner in need of a job to support his family, was reviewing the help wanted section of his local newspaper, when he read the following advertisement in November of 2021: \"University seeks motivated individual to provide cleaning services for our institution. Full-time position with a competitive pay package offered based upon prior experience. Please email your resume to University@U.edu." Cleaner emailed his resume to the designated email address, which documented his experience as a highly qualied cleaner and stated in the body of the email \"I accept your job offer and can start next Monday, November 8, 2021." On November 8, 2021, Cleaner phoned University and inquired why he had not heard back from them regarding his email. University explained that they never received the email in question and did not know why. University further stated in the same conversation \"You sound qualied and motivated, if you can start working today we will hire you and pay you $15.00 per hour.\" Cleaner still desperate for a paying job replied \"What choice do I have, I need the money, I will start today but you drive a hard bargain.\" Cleaner then drove to University and began working for them that same day. Since November 8, 2021, Cleaner has worked Monday through Friday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm at University. University has paid Cleaner for all hours worked at the rate of $15.00 per hour through his paycheck that he received every two weeks from University and which he deposited into his personal checking account. Last Friday, December 3, 2021, Cleaner demanded that University give him the \"competitive pay package\" described in the advertisement. University responded, \"we are terminating your employment immediately even though we have been very pleased with your work to date.\" University then handed Cleaner his nal paycheck, which Cleaner placed in his wallet as he left crying and feeling completely broken down. 1. Discuss
