Five years ago, the Billangarook Bombers broke a ten year premiership drought.They went almost undefeated throughout the season, then stormed through the finals to be premiers, defeating the Tangambalanga Tigers 52-16 in the grand final.

After a spate of injuries and a couple of near misses in the succeeding years, premiership coach Jane Thomas was forced to resign when her husband gained a position in another part of the state.The club was known, throughout her coaching tenure, as extremely united and cohesive.To ensure a seamless transition, the club immediately appointed Jessica James, a club legend - dual competition medallist and five-time premiership player.Expectations were high.

After taking over the coaching role, Jessica apparently believed the club needed an injection of youth if it was to return to its glory days.She insisted that three of the senior players retire and lured a couple of star players from other clubs.The rumours around suggest that these players are being paid a substantial amount of money to play.

Three years on, however, the club is near the bottom of the ladder.A couple of players are performing well, but the performances have been lacklustre to say the least.There is, apparently, some internal division and rumours persist that Jessica is "arrogant" in dealing with the players.

For the last three years, Jessica has appeared untouchable due to her legend status within the club.However, now, with the club at 2-5 and the chance of a finals berth slipping every week, the club has sacked Jessica and appointed you to the role of coach.
