Governments have many measurement tools they can use to determine our economic realities and provide theoretical next steps and solutions to issues. In learning about these different measurement tools, we also spent time talking about their benefits & limitations. Similarly, the policies that can be implemented can have varying benefits & limitations Using websites like Nationmaster, OECD. Our World In Data, and others, you are going to be research about Germany and look into policies and solutions for the unique economic conditions and issues facing the chosen nation. You will be writing a report in Chicago Style (including footnotes). The goal of this report is to analyze Germany, and to find specific economic solutions to the challenges faced by this nation. While this is a very Macro/International topic, you are expected to find ways when appropriate to include course content from each unit, but the focus is on fiscal and monetary policies which can be used to improve metrics such as GDP. HDI, Gini, etc. Make sure to focus on the economic realities of Germany. Don't forget to look at the political situation of Germany as well, you can't magically make North Korea a democracy, or make Cuba and America friendly trading partners.
