Florence has been an employee of your company for just over three months. She was born with a rare form of anemia that causes her to feel severely tired and incapable of standing on an irregular, unpredictable, and short term basis. Whenever these symptoms occur, Florence needs to lie down for a period of about ten minutes until the symptoms passed. For the first three months after she started working at your company, Florence was symptom free. But then for the past month, she has resumed suffering these symptoms two or three times per week. She now has come to you, the Director of Human Resources, to ask if she could be permitted to take a ten minute break during her shift whenever the problem arises. You are a manufacturing company and you need to have all your personnel performing their job during their normal working time. Under your company's policy, employees with less than two years of seniority with the firm are entitled to a 45 minute lunch break and two other five minute breaks during the regular eight hour shift. Employees with more than two years of seniority are entitled to a one hour lunch break and can take another 45 minutes of breaks at their discretion during each day. You brought his matter to the attention of the company's Vice President for Employee Relations. The VP told you to not respond to Florence but to wait and see if she has any further problem. And, the VP continued, if you see her taking more breaks than she is entitled to take under company policy, write her up.

USING LEGAL ANALYSIS ONLY, explain how you should respond to the VP? In answering this, consider what LEGAL consequences the company could suffer if you do as instructed by the VP.

This is an essay question. You are required to provide an essay answer. By that I mean full sentences and paragraphs. No bullet points or outlines. Make sure you explain your conclusions based on legal analysis.
