1. Why would a leader of a company not adhere to the law, as you reflect on the benefits of protection for applicants and employees with the characteristics and encouraging diversity in a firm?

2. Why would the leadership of a company expand the scope of its equal opportunity statements in hiring processes, and with employees, beyond the legal requirements? Give an example of an attribute/characteristic which a company has added or could add to its equal employment opportunity statements.
