e. What tactics you intend to deploy to access the invisible jobs market; how you intend to take the initiative to find out which companies are hiring or might have vacancies, how you will go about networking (and with whom), how you intend to get an in-house referral, etc.

f. What other activities you intend to undertake to enhance your attractiveness and visibility to an employer including extra-curricular, society and professional association activities, etc.

Tip: The more precise and detailed you are with respect to your job search strategy, the better.

2. A fully developed, one/two page, professional standard CVreflecting the best practice. It should include and reflect the following: (25%)

a. Perfectly formatting to a professional standard with good design, easy readability and with perfect grammar and punctuation

b. Personal information and contact details

c. Personal profile which is an individual reflection of you, your career goals and strengths

d. A history of your employment, education, training and extracurricular history DEMONSTRATING your skills, strengths and achievements, rather than just your role and responsibilities.

3. A well-developed cover letter which reflects best practice as covered in the lectures. Along with the basic introductions, the letter should be geared towards demonstrating your potential to the prospective employer through linking the strengths evident in your CV to the employers requirements (10%).

4. A well-developed LinkedIn profile that (20%);

a.Is geared towards promoting yourself to potential employers

b.Includes keywords that will turn up in searches

c.Orders your skills in the order that reflect your strengths

d.Shows your professional development interests through group memberships

e.Gives a detailed and precise account of your educational qualifications

f.Gives a detailed and precise account of your extra-curricular and voluntary activities

An open and active link to the LinkedIn profile should be part of the CV. If the link is not active, the profile cannot be assessed and no marks will be awarded.

5. Video Pitch (20%) - A two (2) minute, professional, self-recorded video, pitching yourself to a potential employer using insights gained from the insights you have gained during the module. You will get instructions on how to upload your video link to Moodle.

You are expected to development inputs for the assignment on an ongoing basis throughout the semester. Some of the lecture time will be devoted to reviewing progress.
