And finally as you read through the Points to Ponder in the Chapter Review of the textbook, what are your thoughts? Although there are protections of doctrines such as respondeat superior and by laws such as statute of limitations and Good Samaritan laws, it is important to be aware that anyone can institute a lawsuit against anyone else and you can be sued. In some cases, there may be liability if injury was caused but in many cases lawsuits without merit are not even tried in court. Careful medical practice is important. In the reading material what were some of the procedures/recommendations given to lessen this risk?
