Unpaid interest for 2017 of P 7,500 has not been taken up. This was paid on January 5, 2018. The sales account included the 12% Value-Added Tax (VAT) corresponding to the sales for the month of December of P 2,688,000 (inclusive of VAT). This was remitted to the BIR on January 20, 2018. Total income tax due for 2017 amounted to 186,500. Quarterly remittances to BIR during the year for income tax totaled P 105,000, including payment of P 35,000 on income tax relating to the prior year. The balance due as of December 31, 2017 has not been taken up in the books.
