Following up on the discussion from the previous module, select one of the EM uses you responded to and think outside the box. Offer new or different uses that EM could be used for.
Explain your reasoning, describe the measurements, and include a reference to an additional resource.

Discussion-7
Hello, every person; I hope all is going well; it is almost over! The areas I chose to discuss in the electromagnetic spectrum are radio and TV waves. Specifically those used for MRIs. I have had many experiences with MRIs due to many injuries over my lifetime, so this was
an easy choice. The MRI uses frequencies of about 100MHz, but this can vary due to the magnetic field and what is being scanned. The radio waves are broadcast, absorbed, and reemitted to create very detailed two and three-dimensional images used in the medical field. Even though the wavelength of 100MHz is 3 meters and the rule of thumb rubric is that details much smaller than the probe's wavelength cannot be detected, the MRI is an excellent example of an exception to that rule as fine details more petite than a millimeter can be imaged (The Electromagnetic Spectrum | Physics, 2011).
The significant way that the MRI differs from an X-ray is that it can detect soft tissue. This reason is that an MRI uses water molecules to create the image. Since almost all of your body is water, this is an ideal device. An MRI is just a device that excites water molecules into releasing waves and then records the locations of those waves with high accuracy (Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI, 2016). A significant advantage of an MRI over an X-ray is that it is much safer. Too many X-rays could have detrimental effects, such as causing cancer. Research has shown that such a risk from an MRI is minimal.
