Regarding the previously answered question, which was very thoroughly answered, I would like to understand what some of the symbols denote, such as "sqrt", " (alpha)", and so on. Then, what if each student took the essay test on four different subject areas, not one as in the last case? What modifications would need to be made to the existing calculations?
