3. Pretend you are talking to a friend who has never taken a course related to mental health issues. Explain two concepts/ideas you think are particularly important that they understand. This could be related to anything we touched upon in the course.

[initial letter: Some concepts I think I have pretty good ideas about are just the basics about most psychological disorders. In addition to that I feel like I know about the major criteria for diagnosing patients. I also think I understand the five main psychological perspectives. I feel like I know some stuff about these topics but not everything. One topic is the biological side of psychological disorders. Another one is the genetic side of psychological disorders. Lastly, the neurochemistry about the brain and everything that goes on with that. When it comes to the science behind the brain, I have a hard time with that. I'm really interested in learning about everything. Mental health is something that I'm very interested in and love learning about. One topic I'm interested in is the more in depth learning about psychological disorders. I want to really be able to know a lot about that. Another is a more in depth look into the treatment of psychological disorders. The last thing I'm pretty interested in is learning more about the social and environmental impact on psychological disorders.]
