i) The local authority of a city wants to determine the average time taken by all busses from the station to the central square of the city. For this purpose the time it took 30 busses to do the trip was gathered (2)

ii) The local authority asked the passengers in the 30 busses how they found the competence of the driver. (2)

iii) The owner of a restaurant with the aid of a small questionnaire asked 24 diners about the quality of the food they ate on a particular evening. (2)

iv) A TV station conducted a survey amongst its watchers to identify the popularity of a certain programme by all its watchers. (2)

v) Damelin wants to determine the average mark in a quantitative methods test of all its students at all campuses. For this purpose the average mark of only one campus was determined (2)
