1.Psychologists recommend the authoritative style of parenting depending on the culture they are raised in. This is observed when parents support their children emotionally but also set clear expectations of them.Neglectful and authoritarian parenting style usually results in children developing anxiety and depression. The permissive parenting style often leads to children becoming aggressive. Overall, it is best if the parents analyze their children's behavior and utilize the parenting style that best suits their needs.
2.according to the text the parenting style that psychologists recommend is authoritative.
it can help you your child live a well-balanced and successful life physically emotionally and academically it usually ends up being the most comfortable for both children and parents due to the fact that it can reduce conflict. by enforcing rules and discussing them and why the rules are being enforced children are welcome to be able to ask questions and have their input even though they don't have the final say in the situation.
3.The parenting style out of the four mentioned in the textbook that psychologists recommend is authoritative. The authoritative parenting style is part of the highly responsive category of the four types, with a warm and loving parent style while still being demanding. Parenting styles on the highly responsive side are much more focused on the child's emotional and physical needs that the child may need. Children raised in a more permissive or authoritarian style tend to show more signs of aggression. Neglectful parents are colder and are unresponsive to the child and the child's needs. Low-responsive parents can be low demanding and demanding, asking that the child obey everything they say. One parent can over-demonstrate authority, and one can hold back from showing authority. The vital thing, thou, is considering the child's emotions and setting boundaries and rules to help support the child's development.
4.For participation, discuss your own experience with identity formation. Was your experience different than your peers who were the opposite gender?
5.gender is implied to the behavioral social cultural or even psychological aspects of being a man or woman while sexually relates more to a biological aspect of males and females. gender refers to a person's identity whether they identify as a man or woman while sex can identify as a personal characteristic. male or female
6. Sex is defined at a child's birth when the doctor delivering the baby confirms the external genitalia as either male or female reproductive parts. In comparison, gender is determined by an individual's sense of gender or identity, whether cisgender. This person identifies with the same sex defined at birth or as transgender, an individual who identifies with a gender that doesn't align or match the sex assigned at birth. It is essential to understand both because self-identification directly affects an individual's identity and psychological growth. This helps psychologists understand the long-term impact on how feeling comfortable and accepted for how someone identifies impacts an individual's overall physical and mental life. Versus an individual raised confused and not feeling accepted for who they are and the negative impacts on someone's life from that upbringing.
7.Group dynamics can influence the fluidity and rhythm within a workplace group. Whether that group is large or small, these factors can create disruption or productivity. This often depends on the leader in many ways. Particularly in a workplace, people often look to the leader for guidance or information. This is especially true of a person who has little or no prior experience in the field. The example and level of guidance set by the leader can determine the level of rhythm amongst group members. It is easy to create discord or miscommunication if a good example is not available to judge from and especially when a person is new to a field. This is a concept that we first experience in early school years and usually follows with us on our chosen course in life.
8.Group dynamics is something I deal with every day. Working in a factory I see this firsthand, and it can boil down to the corporate culture having an impact. What I've noticed is group dynamics can change quickly and may take a certain type of leader to get the group to change. Communication and interaction between the leader and the group tend to build positivity ultimately boosting production. It takes one strong leader to set the mood and mindset of the group, but it also takes one negative person in the group to shift the mindset from positive to negative which can decrease productivity.
I think the culture of corporate and leadership play an extremely big part in group dynamics. When employees don't feel valued or recognized it changes the group dynamics. For example, the team I work with has recently done well over the course of 2 weeks with great quality metrics, so the company bought them pizza. Something as simple as pizza can help boost morale and drive production higher. Sometimes it's the little things that can change group dynamics.
9.Group dynamics impact the workplace in positive and in negative ways. It can impact it in a positive way because it can help with having everyone on the same page and the same mindset if the environment is in a positive mood. It can also be in a negative way because if the environment is negative then it can effect everyone in the workplace to be in a negative mood. I would think it is more positive than negative because it will help everyone to work together and show that their workplace does well in a group and is a positive environment. I think corporate culture and leadership do have a factor in this because if the management authorities have a positive mindset it will help their coworkers to also have a positive mindset.
10.You must use the Milgram studies to inform how you would make your populace conform and explicitly state this in your analysis. If you are stating techniques that are used today such as jailing your populace, why would your methods have different results than what we have been experiencing as a society?
11.In Milgram's experiment, participants were told to administer electric shocks to a person in another room who they could hear but not see. The shocks increased in intensity for each wrong answer the person gave to a memory test. In reality, the person receiving the shocks was an actor who was not actually receiving shocks. Milgram found that a significant number of participants were willing to administer the highest level of shock, even when they believed the shocks could be lethal. This demonstrated the power of authority figures and social conformity. In terms of deviant behavior, it is ultimately up to the ruler of a country to determine what behaviors are classified as deviant. However, it is important to consider the potential consequences of labeling certain behaviors as deviant and the potential impact on individual rights and freedoms. The use of force and coercion to make the populace obey and conform can also have negative consequences and may lead to a lack of trust in the government and increased resistance. A more effective approach may be to foster a sense of shared values and encourage positive social norms through education and community-building initiatives.
