As you can see on Enforcement page, PCAOB posts all settled disciplinary orders (Settled Disciplinary Orders). Read about the sanctions for Grant Thornton LLP, Gary C. Homsley, CPA, and Larry Dana Leslie, CPA settled in 2020. Describe the actions of the registered firm and the covered members involved in the order, as well as the penalties for the violations. 3. Lets assume the shareholders of Erickson Inc. are filing a class action lawsuit against the Grant Thornton auditors to hold them liable for the Erickson audit. Based on what we learned in Module C of the textbook, discuss 1) what the plaintiffs should show to bring a lawsuit against an auditor in this case, and 2) the specific facts included in the disciplinary order that the shareholders can use as evidence of audit failure. 4. Discuss what surprised you or you noticed particularly with respect to the auditors violation of the rules or the disciplinary orders.
