(1) Explain why/how corporate political speech should be limited.

(2) Explain why/how corporate political speech should be unlimited.

MUSTexamine the following parts of our state and federal constitutions:

U.S. Constitution - First Amendment: "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances."

Section 5 of the Washington State Constitution provides: "Every person may freely speak, and publish on all subjects, being responsible for the abuse of that right."

Article 12 of the Washington State Constitution provides: "No law shall be passed granting to any citizen, class of citizens, or corporation . . . privileges or immunities which upon the same terms shall not equally belong to all citizens, or corporations."
