For suspension polymerization and inverse suspension polymerization methods, please explain 2 following questions:
a) Please explain the differences between these 2 methods which are suspension polymerization and inverse suspension polymerization methods in details. Why is the second method called "inverse"? Why do the "suspension polymerization" usually require surfactant while "inverse suspension polymerization" require emulsifier? what are the role of surfactant and emulsifier in each case?
b) Why for these types of polymerization, initiation, propagation, and termination take place inside the droplet?
Thank you so much. These two methods are really confusing. I really appreciate your help.
