A publicly traded company that I chose are mobile phones and other electronics company such as Samsung Inc. Direct materials for the company would be the items used in making the products like plastic, glass, epoxy, and synthetic rubber, copper, tin, silicon, chrome, aluminum, bronze, liquid crystal, lithium, tantalum, carbon etc. Direct labor is the expenses incurred in paying salaries and wages and other benefits to the workers making the electronics. Manufacturing overhead is the supportive items used in production like nails, pins, machine expenses etc. Eg. Amortization and Depreciation, Overtime paid, Delivery expenses etc.
