RE:Auto dealer's service department limitations
Due to rapidly changing service department needs, the limitation of having enough qualified and trained service technicians has been identified. Our service department must make a short-run decision to address the long wait times customers are experiences for their vehicles to be serviced. "Short-run decisions are made with a fixed set of resources and must meet the demands of the current marketplace" (Williams). Our customer base will increase if we can shorten the service wait time. These will be returning customers because they we have quick and quality service. While there will be upfront costs to get technicians hired and trained, I think theopportunity cost is very high in the long run if we have more service technicians
