A total of 1,295 Swedish women and 880 Canadian women with breast cancer participated in this study. Tumor size was measured in centimeters.

2. The management of a clothing store chain wants to investigate the relationship between annual sales (in millions of dollars) and the size of the branch store (in square feet). The data for 14 randomly selected stores in the chain were obtained.

3. A random sample of 250 guests staying at the Marada Inn were asked to rate the quality of their accommodations as being excellent, above average, average, below average, or poor. The manager of Marada Inn wanted to compare the ratings between male and female guests.
