A legal adviceshould always be given lawyers to provide legal advice, need to do extensive research in to the law and also see what law and how would it apply to the situation the client has told the lawyer and to explain everything to the customer, he should use his understandable words, he needs to use simple language to understand his point so that the person in front of you can understand your whole thing.

Likewise, if an attorney offers a "legal opinion"but what you seek is future guidance, or the attorney offers "legal advice" when you want an analysis of past events, you should communicate this to the attorney to ensure that you receive the type of legal service you need. Therefor paralegals should only go by what lawyer is instructing but never give any legal advice.

When it comes to speaking with a client and asking for any legal advice, you can know the difference when it comes to the client asking different questions as how would a decision can or could affect their situation ,any changes that they would have or any drastic decisions in their life etc.

In my situation as a paralegal in an Immigration law office this situation is very common since clients think in time that as a paralegal we can provide all the answers to their questions and they don't know how to separate each one but this is how we always go by the lawyers advice
