For this assignment, assume that i am the leader of a social service agency that serves the elderly in rural communities. I have recently found out that you have lost your funding for a program that provided for weekly home visits for elders. As the leader of the agency, you are responsible for sharing this news with your stakeholders within the context of how social workers recognize the importance of evaluating processes and outcomes to advance practice, policy, and service delivery effectiveness. To do that, I must communicate with my employees (some of whom may depend on these grant dollars for employment), my clients, and my Board of Directors.

For each of these three stakeholder groups, determine how and what you will communicate to each. For example, if you plan on writing a letter to a group, write the letter, and then explain how it will be delivered. If verbally communicating the news, write your script and describe how you will tell that specific stakeholder group. Make sure you include a justification for your communication approach and demonstrate your ability to apply critical thinking to enhance value the importance of interprofessional teamwork and communication in interventions, recognizing that beneficial outcomes may require interdisciplinary, interprofessional, and inter-organizational collaboration.
