Following the Hamas attack on Israel and the subsequent and ongoing Israeli military action in Gaza, several student groups have collaborated to start fundraising for humanitarian relief in Gaza, including selling products from tables before and after school hours and during lunch. In the past, other groups have been allowed to have similar fundraising activities for various causes including the local food bank, a women's shelter and Mothers Against Drunk Driving. Included in the fundraising are t-shirts with the printed message, "From the river to the sea." Several Jewish students and their families have complained to you directly, arguing that the slogan is tantamount to anti-semitism, and want the fundraising activities to be stopped immediately. They are threatening to bring a lawsuit against the school and the district if the fundraising is allowed to continue.
