For this assignment, your job is to investigate an event in the news. There's certainly a lot to choose from! It is best to find an article or two of the event where people are commenting on it $($Facebook or a news site are good places to go for this$).$ Based on the event and the comments, you will be analyzing the event using a minimum of two social cognition theories and two social perception theories.

Provide the theory, define, etc., and then apply. Using examples, show how the theory helps explain some of the event and$/$or some of the comments from others on the feed. Yes, you can use direct quotes as well as examples.

The paper should have an introduction$/$purpose$,$ the body with theory and examples, and a conclusion wrapping it all up$.$ Make sure to cite and reference your sources. Most papers are between $2-3$ pages in length, but i$\text{'}$m not really a page counter, so don't worry if you go over a bit. Anything less wouldn't have enough detail.
