For this discussion, answer the following prompt:

Identify three real life examples of sexism against men that can be understood as having their origin in sexism against women. For example, many male nurses are treated with a great deal of disrespect both by men and women. This certainly is sexism. Additionally troubling though, is that male nurses are treated poorly because the idea of "nurse" is considered a female and "lesser" job. So it is sexism against men, but it has its start in sexism against women. It isn't that we believe men should not be in health care, it is that we think they should do the supposedly"superior" job of being doctors. So men who are nurses are treated as if they are lowering themselves by doing what women do. So male nurses suffer sexism and mistreatment, but it is grounded in the idea that doing female jobs is weak or inferior and should be reserved for women.

IDENTIFYING THE WAYS IN WHICH THESE SEXISMS ALSO ARE ALSO DIRECTED AT WOMEN! SO DO NOT FORGET TO CONSIDER THE NEGATIVE IMPLICATIONS FOR WOMEN AS WELL!

So identify three cases, example them and examine them. Make sure to explain the case and how it is bad for men, but also identify the ways it makes assumptions about women and reflects sexism against them as well
