For this discussion I chose Fiat. Fiat is based out of Italy, they opened their first production company in Turin later opening a mush larger factory in Lingotto. Italy is the largest country of production, other than Italy there are production companies in Argentina, Brazil, and Mexico. I believe they chose most of these South American locations due to Fiat being the largest car seller in those regions, low production costs, and shorter shipping distance to the US. Fiat primarily focuses on city cars that are small and have really good maneuverability. With that being said they do not change their models depending on the region. The only thing that Fiat does is they only produce the Fiat 500 in Italy and export them where they are needed. Focusing on the US auto sales there is a dip in sales as interest rates rise while on the other hand there is typically a spike in sales when interest rates fall. With Fiat being a global seller and the US being one of their smallest markets, with only 19,000 sales in 2022, they do not have to worry as much on US interest rates
