You can choose to watch a movie or television show, and as you are watching the actors or participants, you are going to take note of their nonverbal communication. Consider all the possible nonverbal channels (kinesics, oculesics, haptics, proxemics, paralanguage, chronemics). After watching your piece of media, explain some of the relevant nonverbal exchanges that took place, and summarize them the best you can. Then answer the questions listed below:

1. What were some things you were able to understand nonverbally that were NOT present in the verbal exchanges?
2. In what ways did the nonverbal channels change the message sent from the verbal channel?
3. What was something notable about the nonverbal communication that you hadn't really considered before paying attention to it?
