Exommunication: Fulcher of Chartres, Pope Urban Il; Ibn al-Athir A Complete History: Souvigny sculptures, The Anglo-Saxon Chronicle and Domesday Book). You need to address one of these questions: 1) If you consider the Domesday survey, commenda contracts, and/or Souvigny sculptures, what do they suggest about the basis of the medieval economy in the eleventh and twelfth centuries? What had changed from earlier periods? What remained the same? Include at least one of the documents for support and include at least two items as evidence. or 2) Compare Urban II and Ibn al-Athir: what similarities and differences do you see in how they describe the crusades?
