For this HW, please use the software ANSYS Chemkin-Pro. The files of the complete GRI MECH 3.0 mechanism are attached for the calculations. More information on this mechanism can be found at http://combustion.berkeley.edu/gri-mech/version30/text30.html 2. Well-Stirred (Perfectly Stirred) Reactor Problem (40 pts): Explore CO and NO emissions from lean hydrocarbon combustion as a function of residence time in a PSR. Please consider a 1 atm CH4-air mixture (P=0.85) entering an adiabatic reactor. You may wish to start with a long residence time, sufficient to produce "complete" combustion, and then explore what happens as the residence time is decreased.
