For this lab, the student will be expected to drop an object from a measured distance and to time how long it takes to fall this distance. With these values 1n place, the equation v=x/t will be used to calculate average velocity. Uncertainty in each measurement will be taken to be half of the smallest unit of measurement, and students will be expected to calculate the best value for average velocity as well as the highest and lowest possible value for average velocity due to the uncertainty. In order to do this, use the highest value for x together with the lowest value of t to get the highest average velocity measurement and the lowest value of x together with the highest value for t for the lowest average velocity
