For this part of the assignment, we are going to pretend that Major League Baseball has just terminated all long-term contracts, and every team in the league now has to re-negotiate the salaries for each player. The new salaries will be renegotiated every year. You are hired to advise the board members of your particular team, and your job is to decide how much each player on the team will be paid this year, based on their performance last year.

You have been given a roster of 15 players, their statistics from last year, and a team salary budget. You can find this information on the Excel spreadsheet on the sheet with your particular team label. It shows the information on these players for the 2019 year. The players include 10 position players and 5 pitchers. You have been given hitting statistics for the position players and pitching statistics for the pitchers. You will need to decide how to use these statistics in order to figure out how much you want to pay each of these players, keeping in mind the constraints of your budget.

There is a cap on total salaries. Each team has its own salary budget which is approximately 75% of its actual budget for 2019. There are actually 25 players who will share in that budget so, dont use all of that budget that you are given for your 15 players (as 10 more will need to be paid). The other 25% of the teams actual payroll budget will cover the entire 40 man roster (but, you dont need to address that this is just for your information).

Based on the data on your list of players and their salaries, you need to determine how much of your budget given will be distributed to each of your 15 players. You need to provide justification on why you made your decisions about those salaries, and all the work that you did to complete the project. You need to your list the salaries per player, graph it, and provide an explanation as to why you made those choices. Your explanation must include a description of how you decided how much each player was worth and which statistics you found most useful in making your decisions
