The remaining percentage will be based on your inclusion of the following: 1. [10%] a description of the process used to estimate the electric field vector (i.e. x- and y-component of the electric field) from the values of electric potential at points in a grid. 2. [20%] for each configuration scanned, 2D plots showing the electric potential as a heat map and the electric field as a vector field (see information on producing vector plots in Section 4.3). 3. [25%] based on visual inspection of the previous plots, present your conclusion on the direction of electric field lines relative to the edges of a conductor where they originate. 4. [25%] Compare the electric fields between configurations (a) and (b), and in both configurations: [15%] visually identify the location of where the electric field has the highest magnitude, and compute such magnitude. [10%] What can you say about electric fields near sharp edges?
