How does the force of friction change when the filing cabinet starts to move? Explain this change. 3. Reset the simulation by pressing "Clear". For the next simulation you need to record three phases - the filing cabinet not moving, the filing cabinet moving, and the filing cabinet moving a little faster. Start by applying a force that you know from the previous simulation will not cause the filing cabinet to move. Press "Go". After a few seconds apply a greater force so the filing cabinet begins to move. After a few more seconds apply a greater force. Pause the simulation when you are done and click "Graph Applied Force" and "Graph Velocity". Copy the image with both graphs and paste it below. 4. Describe how the velocity of the filing cabinet changes when you apply the three forces. 5. You graphed the velocity of the filing cabinet and the time it traveled at that velocity for three forces. How can this information be used to find the acceleration for each applied force? Calculate the acceleration for the three forces by hand. Click "Graph Acceleration".
